Succulent News
Wicca is spreading through Washington State at a rate that feels almost aggressive. While most of the country still clutches the Bible, the Pacific Northwest has become fertile ground for the occult, for collectors of the peculiar, for people who prefer moonlight to fluorescent pews.
As the Christian machinery works overtime to tract us, convert us, or erase us, we answer by gathering tighter. We form our own circles. We cult in groups—not out of weakness, but out of refusal. The soil here is already damp with rain and rebellion. We plant deeper.
Emo
Emo is no longer just a trend. It has become a church.
The trender was always an artist first—drawn to black eyeliner the way some are drawn to stained glass. Emo absorbed the Gothic, then layered Wicca over it like a second skin. Candles, sigils, sad songs, and soft rebellion all share the same altar now.
We can remain separate if we choose. But the first Wicca was already emo. The first emo was already casting circles in the dark.
Romantic Poetry
Suffocation is cleaner than death. Being alive is too heavy for the kind of sex we actually want.
I would rather be held too tightly than left empty. I would rather drown in someone than float alone in the correct amount of air.
Thesis
My body is my choice. My romance is my creation. My need is the thesis that must be lived, not debated.
If the only life I am allowed is the one written for me by someone else’s god, then I am not free—I am a hostage wearing the costume of a willing participant.
I am a free spirit. I require a place to rest that does not demand I kneel first.
Yoga for the Cold-Hearted
Begin in Easy Seat. Hands in prayer at the heart—not because you believe, but because the posture itself is a spell.
Open the prayer hands into Raising Moon. Arms lift like they are offering the night something it already owns.
Then Easy Twist. Spine turns away from the light, toward the colder side of the room, toward the part of you that never wanted to be warm in the first place.
Hold. Breathe like you mean it. Leave when the cold starts to feel like home.
